StoneShield Engineering part of LEAR Corporation is an internal automation and innovation hub supporting Lears global manufacturing operations especially within Seating and E-Systems. Since 2024 the site has been fully integrated into Lear and is growing as a center for automation and mechanical design solutions.

Position Overview
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design develop and improve mechanical solutions for industrial automation systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical components and assemblies
Support testing validation and implementation in production
Prepare technical documentation and drawings
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
Work closely with automation and engineering teams
Key Skills & Qualifications
Technical degree preferred (Mechanical Engineering is ideal)
Experience in mechanical design
Knowledge of SolidWorks and Visual Studio
English required (Portuguese preferred)
Proactive mindset attention to detail teamwork skills
Other Information
On-site work at the Castelo Branco plant is required
Occasional travel (domestic & international)
Probation period: 6 months
Applicants must have the right to work in the EU
