We are seeking a Lead Project Manager to lead and oversee brownfield engineering projects within the oil & gas sector. This role is responsible for managing full project life cycles from concept development to commissioning while ensuring safe timely and cost-effective delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong technical grounding hands-on exposure to mechanical equipment and a proven people leadership experience in complex site environments.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of brownfield projects including scope development engineering design procurement execution and handover.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary engineering teams (mechanical electrical civil instrumentation) to ensure alignment on design and execution outcomes.
Conduct site assessments evaluate technical feasibility and propose engineered solutions for modifications upgrades and optimization works.
Oversee installation testing and commissioning of equipment such as pumps piping systems mechanical packages and related utilities.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules cost estimates progress reports and risk registers.
Ensure full compliance with HSE standards statutory requirements and internal project governance processes.
Manage contractors vendors and service providers ensuring quality performance and adherence to project specifications.
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders clients and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project execution efficiency and technical reliability.
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering (Mechnical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation)
At least 10 years of project management experience in the oil & gas industry with 2 years of people management experience
Proven track record managing brownfield projects in operating facilities.
Solid technical understanding of pumps piping systems rotating equipment and associated mechanical/structural equipment.
Strong knowledge of engineering standards project methodologies and safety requirements in hazardous environments.
Excellent stakeholder management communication and leadership capabilities.
