Job Summary
Rochester Academy Charter School is currently seeking a School Social Worker for the 2022-2023 school year. Several qualifications will be considered: qualification as a LCSW (preferred); LMSW New York State certification in School Social Work; or similar qualifications and out of State certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required.
Job responsibilities categories include (but are not limited to):
- Leading and supervising 1:1 and group counseling for students with IEPs and 504s
- Leading and supervising 1:1 and group counseling to support student behavior change
- Offering drop in counseling services to all students
- Connecting students and families with resources in our community
- Leadership role in implementing our Restorative Practices Program
- Hosting and planning for staff professional learning around topics specific to Social Emotional Learning
Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is a public charter school primarily serving students from the city of Rochester. Over 90% of our students identify as an individual of color.
