Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with mental health and psychosocial disabilities selectability is seeking two experienced and motivated professionals to provide short-term leadership coverage for our team leaders during their upcoming leave periods.
Leave coverage dates:
- 22 December 2025 11 January 2026
- 22 December 2025 04 January 2026
These leadership roles require strong management capabilities a collaborative approach and a genuine commitment to enhancing mental health services within our community.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- lead and manage the delivery of psychosocial service delivery and block funded programs
- coach and support a team of lifestyle support workers to tailor services to the needs of recipients
- build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across clinical community and primary health services
- representselectabilityat local and regional network meetings forums and events

About you
To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:
- interest in developing skills to lead teams programs and services in mental health disability or community services
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
- a demonstrated ability to prioritise conflicting priorities as required
- ability to work under minimal supervision with the capacity to exercise initiative in the application of work processes and procedures and establish objectives and outcomes
- a demonstrated ability to show empathy and compassion
- a proven ability to think critically and approach challenges with innovation
Role requirements
- certificate IV in Mental Health (desirable)
- occasional out of hours work may be required from time to time
- some travel to selectability sites may be required from time to time
- current nationally recognised first aid and CPR certificates (or ability to obtain)
- ability to work a rotating on call roster from time to time
- a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check - this requirement is mandatory. You cannot commence in this positive until a positive screening outcome is obtained
- a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You completion certificate (or the ability to obtain)
- a current minimum P1 C class Queensland drivers licence
- roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance

The acting team leader positions arebased in Townsville.
