Aeronautical Ground Lighting Trainer
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience


Location: Rugeley Travel as required including outside normal working hours to deliver onsite training both in the UK and internationally

Type: Full Time and Permanent



We are seeking a skilled Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) Trainer to join our leading UK client in the aviation industry. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career by delivering high-quality practical and theoretical training to maintenance and management personnel in the field of Aeronautical Ground Lighting.

You will work closely with experienced instructors and gain internationally recognised ICAO qualifications while contributing to the ongoing development of training programs. The role involves both in-house and external training including travel across the UK and overseas.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist instructors in delivering practical and theoretical training sessions to customer personnel.
  • Support the delivery of training to internal staff as required.
  • Ensure all training equipment and materials are prepared maintained and available.
  • Assess course delegates in line with regulatory CBTA requirements.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks accurately before and after training sessions.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory guidance and ensure training materials are current.
  • Represent the organisation at trade shows conferences and industry events.
  • Support other departments by forwarding potential opportunities and assisting with technical expertise.
  • Travel as required including outside normal working hours to deliver onsite training both in the UK and internationally.

Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified electrician with a recognised apprenticeship and City & Guilds 236 Parts A&B or 2360 Parts 1 & 2.
  • Current 18th Edition qualification.
  • Experience in a technical AGL role on an active aerodrome or airport.
  • Ideally teaching or assessor experience or willingness to achieve assessor qualification.
  • Hands-on proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational time management and communication skills.
  • Computer literate and detail-oriented.
