The Opportunity

At Hitachi Energy we are building and expanding our ES Regional Office (ESOPC) in Madrid Spain within the Grid & Power Quality Solutions business in Europe (HBUEU).

In this role you will actively participate in designing and implementing control and protection systems for Hitachi Energys Power Conversion products and applications. Youll work closely with global colleagues partners and customers taking responsibility for technical deliverables and supporting key phases of projects.

How youll make an impact

• Design and program control and protection software for power converter systems.

• Define technical requirements and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.

• Test and validate control systems in simulation real-time environments and hardware.

• Support commissioning activities and customer trainingboth remotely and on-site.

• Maintain software and documentation for control and protection systems.

• Contribute to technical discussions during concept and tender phases.

Your background

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

• Up to 2 years of experience in control systems power electronics or similar (motivated graduates welcome).

• Familiarity with tools like Matlab Simulink HiDraw or Compact Control Builder.

• Willingness to travel occasionally and work in a global environment.

• Fluent in English (Spanish or other European languages are a plus).

• Strong analytical skills proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
