Key Responsibilities
- Perform various welding processes (MIG TIG Stick) on metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Inspect finished welds for quality integrity and adherence to standards.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment tools and machinery.
- Prepare metal surfaces by grinding cutting and cleaning prior to welding.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to design.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proficiency in common welding processes (e.g. MIG TIG Stick)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints welding symbols and schematics
- Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Proven experience welding in a manufacturing or production environment
- Ability to inspect finished welds for quality and identify defects
- Relevant welding certifications (e.g. AWS D1.1) preferred
Bonus Qualifications
- Advanced or multiple AWS welding certifications
- Experience welding specialized alloys (e.g. stainless steel aluminum) or exotic metals
- Proficiency in metal fabrication (cutting fitting grinding blueprint reading)
- Experience with robotic welding systems or automated welding processes
