The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Manistee seeking Welders who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

Perform various welding processes (MIG TIG Stick) on diverse materials according to specifications.
Interpret blueprints welding symbols and other technical documents to determine welding requirements.
Inspect finished welds for quality defects and adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
Prepare materials for welding by cutting grinding cleaning and fitting components.
Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order including routine cleaning and minor repairs.
Adhere strictly to all safety regulations procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components as per design.

Recommended Qualifications

2 years of experience with common welding processes (MIG TIG Stick).
Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints schematics and welding symbols.
Proficiency in operating welding equipment grinders and other fabrication tools.
Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality control standards.
Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting standing and working in various positions.
Relevant welding certifications (e.g. AWS D1.1) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with multiple welding processes (e.g. TIG Stick Flux-cored).
Proficiency in fabrication tasks such as cutting grinding and fitting.
Certification or experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes.
Familiarity with quality control procedures and basic weld inspection.
