Key Responsibilities

Perform welding operations using various techniques (e.g. MIG TIG Stick) on metal components.
Interpret blueprints welding symbols and work orders to determine appropriate welding procedures.
Inspect finished welds for quality accuracy and adherence to specifications using measuring tools.
Prepare materials for welding by cutting grinding cleaning and positioning components.
Operate and maintain welding equipment tools and personal protective equipment safely and effectively.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with welding equipment and processes.
Adhere to all safety protocols company policies and quality standards.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in common welding processes (MIG TIG Stick) and equipment.
AWS D1.1 or equivalent welding certifications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and welding symbols.
Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding and adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Experience with various metal types (e.g. steel stainless steel aluminum).

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with advanced welding processes (e.g. robotic welding laser welding).
Proficiency in fabricating and fitting metal components prior to welding.
Ability to operate forklifts or overhead cranes.
Knowledge of basic quality inspection techniques and common weld defect identification.
Experience welding exotic materials such as stainless steel or aluminum.
