The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Perform various welding processes (e.g. MIG TIG Stick) on metal components according to specifications.
Interpret blueprints engineering drawings and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
Prepare materials for welding by cleaning grinding cutting and shaping as needed.
Inspect finished welds for quality integrity and adherence to industry standards and codes.
Maintain welding equipment tools and work area in a clean safe and organized condition.
Adhere strictly to all safety regulations policies and procedures during welding operations.
Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using welding techniques and hand tools.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g. MIG TIG Stick) for different materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and welding symbols.
Strong understanding and adherence to welding safety protocols and proper use of PPE.
Certification from an accredited welding program (e.g. AWS Certified Welder) or equivalent on-the-job experience.
Physical dexterity stamina and visual acuity to perform welding tasks in various positions.

Bonus Qualifications

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints sche schematics and welding symbols.
Experience with metal fabrication fitting and grinding techniques.
Familiarity with quality control procedures and various measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers).
Certification or experience operating forklifts or overhead cranes.
Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills for welding equipment.
