Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and modify manufacturing tools dies jigs and fixtures.
- Perform routine maintenance repair and troubleshooting of existing tooling.
- Optimize tooling processes and designs to improve efficiency quality and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with production design and quality teams to implement tooling solutions.
- Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement corrective actions.
- Manage tooling projects from initial concept through design fabrication and implementation.
- Evaluate and select appropriate tooling materials equipment and external vendors.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in tooling design manufacturing or maintenance.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling design and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of tooling materials manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding stamping) and GD&T.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot tooling issues optimize performance and improve manufacturing efficiency.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g. FEA mold flow analysis).
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in additive manufacturing techniques for tooling applications.
- Project management experience leading tooling development projects.
