The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and modify tooling dies jigs and fixtures for manufacturing processes.
• Optimize tooling performance lifespan and efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot tooling-related issues implementing effective corrective actions.
• Manage tooling maintenance schedules repairs and inventory to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with production design and quality teams on new product introduction and tooling requirements.
• Ensure all tooling adheres to quality standards safety regulations and specified tolerances.
• Evaluate and recommend new tooling technologies materials and manufacturing methods.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Mastercam).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining injection molding or stamping.
• Knowledge of material science heat treatment and surface finishes for tooling applications.
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and metrology principles.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot optimize and improve tooling performance.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g. Moldflow FEA) for tool design validation.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming CNC machines or robotics for tooling applications.
• Project management experience particularly with new tool development or deployment.
