Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and improve manufacturing tooling dies jigs and fixtures.
• Oversee the maintenance repair and modification of all production tooling.
• Diagnose and resolve complex tooling issues implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Optimize tooling performance lifespan and cost-efficiency through continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing design and quality teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements.
• Select and specify appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for tooling.
• Manage tooling projects from concept through implementation and validation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3 years of experience in tooling design development or maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Mastercam) for tool design and simulation.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes such as machining stamping injection molding or casting.
• Knowledge of tooling materials heat treatment GD&T and DFM principles.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex tooling-related production issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) or mold flow simulation software.
• Knowledge of Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) applications for tooling.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with automation integration for tooling systems.
