Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and optimize manufacturing tools dies jigs and fixtures.
• Oversee the fabrication assembly and testing of new and modified tooling.
• Conduct root cause analysis for tooling failures and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production design and quality teams to define tooling requirements and specifications.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and repair schedules for all production tooling.
• Evaluate new tooling technologies and materials to improve manufacturing processes.
• Ensure all tooling adheres to safety standards quality specifications and production schedules.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience in the design build maintenance and troubleshooting of production tooling (e.g. injection molds stamping dies fixtures).
• Strong proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Mastercam) and G-code programming.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes GD&T material science and heat treatment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling issues.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies related to tooling.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g. Moldflow FEA).
• Proficiency in a programming language for automation or data analysis (e.g. Python VBA).
• Project management certification (e.g. PMP CAPM).
• Familiarity with additive manufacturing processes for tooling applications.
