Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and optimize tooling for manufacturing processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot tooling-related production issues implementing effective solutions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of tools including maintenance repair and replacement.
• Collaborate with design production and quality teams to ensure tool performance and product quality.
• Conduct tool trials validations and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Specify and select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods for tooling components.
• Ensure all tooling meets safety quality and regulatory standards.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of experience in tooling design manufacturing or maintenance within a production environment.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Mastercam) for tooling design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining EDM injection molding or stamping.
• Knowledge of tool materials heat treatment and surface coatings.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot tooling issues perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g. FEA mold flow analysis)
• Project management certification (e.g. PMP CAPM)
• Proficiency in automation and robotics integration for tooling applications
• Demonstrated experience in tooling supplier development and management
