Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up manufacturing equipment (e.g. CNC machines presses assembly lines) for production runs.
• Install align and adjust tooling fixtures dies and other components according to specifications.
• Perform first-piece inspections and conduct quality checks to ensure product specifications are met after setup.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical electrical or programming issues during setup and initial production.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and calibration on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Document setup parameters procedures and any modifications for future reference and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production operators engineers and supervisors to optimize setup times and production efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate set up and adjust manufacturing machinery.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions.
• Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers micrometers) and quality control procedures.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software for reviewing designs or creating simple fixtures.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Certifications in specialized areas such as welding advanced machining or hydraulics.
