Key Responsibilities

• Perform machine setup and changeovers according to production schedules and specifications.
• Install adjust and calibrate tooling fixtures and equipment for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and quality checks post-setup to ensure product specifications are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup-related issues to minimize downtime and optimize machine performance.
• Document setup parameters tooling changes and process adjustments accurately.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize setup procedures and reduce changeover times.
• Conduct minor preventive maintenance on machines and tooling during changeovers.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Setup Technician or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints schematics and technical manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine setup and operational issues.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing machinery and production processes.
• Commitment to maintaining safety protocols and quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• PLC programming or advanced troubleshooting experience.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or 5S methodology.
• Experience with robotics setup teaching or basic programming.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for tooling or fixture design review.
