Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials in-process components and finished products against specifications.
Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges CMM) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
Document inspection results accurately maintaining comprehensive quality records and generating inspection reports.
Identify quarantine and report non-conforming materials or products initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.
Assist in the investigation of quality issues root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and provide support for production line quality checks.
Perform calibration and maintenance checks on inspection equipment and tools to ensure accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality control or inspection role.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges) and interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints.
Familiarity with quality principles such as SPC root cause analysis and non-conformance reporting.
Basic computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word).

Bonus Qualifications

ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQIA)
Proficiency in CMM programming or advanced metrology software
Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification
Experience conducting internal quality audits
Advanced proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) software
