The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Perform dimensional and visual inspections of raw materials in-process components and finished products.
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers gauges and CMMs to verify product specifications.
Document inspection results accurately maintaining detailed records and generating quality reports.
Identify isolate and report non-conforming materials or products initiating appropriate containment actions.
Assist in root cause analysis for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Conduct product and process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and manufacturing procedures.
Support the calibration and maintenance of inspection measurement and test equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical specifications.
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and quality control principles.
Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
Strong attention to detail and ability to document quality findings accurately.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent experience
Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP)
Experience with CMM programming or advanced vision inspection systems
Previous experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. medical devices aerospace)
