The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials in-process components and finished products.
Document inspection results non-conformances and corrective actions in quality reports and systems.
Operate and maintain various inspection equipment including calipers micrometers CMMs and optical comparators.
Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct routine calibration of measurement tools and gauges according to established schedules and procedures.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends support continuous improvement initiatives and prepare summary reports.

Recommended Qualifications

Experience using precision measurement tools (calipers micrometers gauges).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints schematics and GD&T symbols.
Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and quality methodologies (e.g. SPC Root Cause Analysis).
Proficiency in performing various types of inspections (e.g. First Article In-process Final).
Strong computer skills for data entry report generation and quality software.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso).
ASQ Certification (e.g. CQT CQI) or Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP).
Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D 5 Whys).
Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
