The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials in-process production and finished goods against specifications.
Utilize various precision measuring instruments (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges CMM) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
Document inspection results accurately maintain comprehensive quality records and generate quality reports.
Identify quarantine and document non-conforming materials or products initiating appropriate actions.
Assist in the investigation of quality issues participate in root cause analysis and support corrective actions.
Support the calibration program for inspection and measurement equipment.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings blueprints and specifications.
Skilled in using precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers micrometers gauges).
Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document inspection results.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with CMM programming
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt certification
Internal auditing experience (e.g. ISO 9001 AS9100)
Proficiency with statistical process control (SPC) software beyond data entry
