Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing process data using statistical tools (e.g. SPC MSA) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects improve yield and enhance product reliability.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring quality requirements are met from design to production launch.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials and components meet specified quality standards.
- Investigate customer complaints and drive resolution through cross-functional teams.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 3 years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with core quality tools and methodologies (e.g. FMEA SPC MSA Root Cause Analysis)
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001)
- Demonstrated ability to perform statistical analysis and interpret data for process improvement
Bonus Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g. Minitab JMP)
- Experience conducting internal or external quality system audits
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification
- Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies
