Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans and policies for raw materials and components.
Identify evaluate and qualify new suppliers while managing existing vendor relationships and performance.
Negotiate contracts pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable conditions.
Collaborate with production engineering and quality teams to forecast material needs and ensure timely delivery.
Monitor market trends raw material prices and supply chain risks to inform purchasing decisions.
Implement and manage inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and prevent disruptions.
Ensure all purchased materials meet quality standards and regulatory compliance for manufacturing operations.

Recommended Qualifications

5-7 years of progressive experience in purchasing or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Engineering or a related field.
Proven expertise in negotiation strategic sourcing and vendor relationship management.
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and procurement software.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory control.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Experience with advanced ERP/MRP system implementation or optimization
Fluency in a second language relevant to global sourcing
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
