Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration verification and adjustment of measurement equipment and gages.
• Conduct precise dimensional measurements of manufactured parts tooling and assemblies using various metrology tools.
• Operate program and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.
• Analyze measurement data interpret engineering drawings and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Maintain accurate calibration records equipment history and measurement documentation.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Adhere to quality standards specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for metrology processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Technical degree in Metrology Quality Assurance or a related technical field.
• Proficient understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to operate and troubleshoot precision measurement equipment (e.g. CMMs optical comparators calipers micrometers).
• Ability to accurately read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Experience with metrology software for data collection analysis and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced 3D scanning technologies (e.g. laser trackers structured light scanners).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) methodologies and software.
• Relevant ASQ Certification (e.g. CQT CMQ/OE LSS Green Belt).
• Experience with programming automated measurement routines or scripting for data analysis.
