Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration maintenance and repair of metrology equipment.
• Conduct precise dimensional measurements of manufactured parts and assemblies.
• Develop and execute measurement plans ensuring adherence to engineering specifications.
• Analyze measurement data identify trends and provide feedback for process improvement.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and measurement documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement accuracy and equipment functionality.
• Assist in the selection implementation and validation of new metrology equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers micrometers height gauges CMMs optical comparators).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs).
• Understanding of calibration principles measurement uncertainty and traceability.
• Technical degree or certification in Metrology Quality or a related engineering field.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9001) and manufacturing documentation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM programming (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso PolyWorks).
• Demonstrated understanding and application of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application.
• Experience conducting Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
