Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration verification and preventative maintenance of measurement equipment and gages.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology instruments.
• Analyze measurement data identify deviations and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot and repair measurement instruments fixtures and systems.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings specifications and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Develop document and maintain calibration procedures and work instructions.
• Provide technical support to production and quality teams on measurement techniques and equipment usage.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision measurement equipment (e.g. calipers micrometers optical comparators).
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Ability to read interpret and work from complex engineering blueprints schematics and specifications.
• Experience with calibration procedures measurement uncertainty and maintaining traceability of measurement standards.
• Familiarity with metrology software packages (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso) and data analysis tools.
• Associate's degree in Metrology Engineering Technology or a related technical field or equivalent work experience.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with non-contact measurement systems (e.g. laser scanning vision systems structured light).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD CATIA) for model-based inspection or CMM programming.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software applications in a manufacturing context.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or other relevant metrology certification.
