The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Hudsonville seeking Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

Develop implement and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency quality and cost reduction.
Design procure and qualify production tooling fixtures and equipment.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production line issues and equipment failures.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Collaborate with R&D and NPI teams to ensure manufacturability of new products and processes.
Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation including SOPs work instructions and process flow diagrams.
Analyze production data to identify root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma).
Proficiency with CAD software for tooling fixture and process layout design.
Hands-on experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g. CNC machining assembly automation welding).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for identifying and resolving production inefficiencies.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Experience with advanced automation robotics or additive manufacturing technologies
Proficiency in a programming language (e.g. Python SQL) for data analysis or process automation
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
