Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production technical and administrative roles.
- Oversee employee relations including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and grievance handling.
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and local labor laws including OSHA regulations.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs including hourly wages and shift differentials.
- Develop and implement training programs focused on safety technical skills and leadership for manufacturing staff.
- Drive performance management processes to support operational efficiency and quality standards.
- Partner with plant leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with manufacturing goals.
Recommended Qualifications
- Experience managing HR functions within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- In-depth knowledge of labor laws OSHA regulations and HR best practices specific to production facilities.
- Proven track record in employee relations conflict resolution and performance management in a plant setting.
- Experience with workforce planning talent acquisition and retention strategies for skilled labor and production roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field; HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP/SCP PHR/SPHR) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with safety programs and workers' compensation management within an industrial setting.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles (e.g. Six Sigma Kaizen) or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Previous experience in a unionized manufacturing environment including labor relations or collective bargaining.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and industrial safety programs.
- Proficiency in a second language common in the local workforce (e.g. Spanish).
