Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for production skilled trades and administrative roles.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues including investigations and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal state and local labor laws and company policies specifically related to manufacturing operations.
  • Administer HR programs such as onboarding performance management and benefits administration.
  • Support safety initiatives and manage workers' compensation claims in collaboration with operations.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and data within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
  • Facilitate training and development programs tailored for manufacturing employees.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience specifically within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws with an understanding of safety regulations (e.g. OSHA) relevant to manufacturing operations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex employee relations issues conduct investigations and facilitate conflict resolution for a diverse workforce including hourly employees.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment for a variety of manufacturing roles (e.g. production maintenance skilled trades).
  • Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and strong analytical skills for HR data and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) to support a diverse manufacturing workforce.
  • Experience managing safety programs workers' compensation and OSHA compliance in an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with timekeeping systems and payroll processing specific to manufacturing operations (e.g. shift differentials piece-rate pay).
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
