Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for production skilled trades and administrative roles within the manufacturing plant.
- Provide expert guidance on employee relations including conflict resolution disciplinary actions and grievance handling.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local labor laws including OSHA regulations and administer company HR policies.
- Administer employee benefits leave of absence programs (e.g. FMLA) and support workers' compensation claims.
- Facilitate performance management processes including goal setting performance reviews and corrective action plans.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive onboarding programs and coordinate mandatory safety and compliance training.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws HR best practices and OSHA compliance.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations including conflict resolution investigations and performance management.
- Experience with full-cycle recruitment for production skilled trades and operational roles.
- Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and HR data management.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience supporting a unionized workforce.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation processes in an industrial setting.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish) to support a diverse manufacturing workforce.
