Key Responsibilities

Analyze manufacturing costs variances and COGS to identify trends and cost reduction opportunities.
Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts for production sales and operational expenses.
Prepare detailed financial reports dashboards and KPIs for operational performance and executive review.
Conduct variance analysis between actual results budget and forecast providing actionable insights.
Evaluate capital expenditure proposals including ROI and payback period for new equipment or plant upgrades.
Perform product line profitability analysis and margin analysis to support pricing and strategic decisions.
Collaborate with operations to identify and implement process improvements and cost efficiency initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in cost accounting principles and practices specifically within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience with financial modeling budgeting forecasting and variance analysis.
Ability to analyze production costs inventory valuations and operational efficiencies.
Experience utilizing ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) for financial reporting and analysis.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

Expertise in manufacturing cost accounting principles (e.g. standard costing variance analysis).
Proficiency with major ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau).
Understanding of supply chain finance and inventory optimization.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
