Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers fostering their professional development.
Oversee the planning execution and successful completion of engineering projects for production lines.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes reduce costs and enhance product quality.
Provide technical expertise and guidance for complex production challenges and equipment selection.
Develop and manage the engineering department's budget resources and technology roadmap.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety regulations quality standards and environmental policies.
Collaborate with production quality and R&D departments to facilitate new product introduction and process integration.

Recommended Qualifications

Strong technical background in relevant engineering disciplines (e.g. mechanical electrical industrial) within a manufacturing environment.
Proven leadership and team management experience including mentoring and developing engineering talent.
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes Lean principles and quality management systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept through implementation and continuous improvement.
Excellent problem-solving analytical and communication skills to drive technical solutions and collaborate effectively.

Bonus Qualifications

Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent advanced Lean manufacturing expertise.
Demonstrated experience with capital expenditure planning justification and implementation of new manufacturing equipment.
Proficiency with specific Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software relevant to production.
Strong background in New Product Introduction (NPI) processes specifically transitioning designs to full-scale production.
Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies such as robotics automation or additive manufacturing.
