Key Responsibilities

• Develop implement and maintain EHS management systems policies and procedures specific to manufacturing operations.
• Ensure strict compliance with all federal state and local EHS regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA) and internal company standards.
• Conduct regular EHS risk assessments audits and inspections to identify hazards assess risks and implement corrective actions.
• Lead comprehensive incident investigations for accidents near misses and environmental excursions determining root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal programs chemical safety air emissions and wastewater discharge compliance.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs to all employees fostering a proactive safety culture and environmental awareness.
• Oversee emergency preparedness and response plans including drills for fire safety chemical spills and evacuations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience with at least 3 years in a management role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related technical field.
• In-depth knowledge of federal state and local EHS regulations (e.g. OSHA EPA) and best practices for risk assessment hazard control and incident management.
• Proven ability to develop implement and manage comprehensive EHS programs drive continuous improvement and foster a strong safety culture.
• Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with all levels of the organization and external agencies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience applying Lean principles or Six Sigma methodologies to EHS processes.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.
• Proficiency with EHS management software and data analytics for performance monitoring.
• Demonstrated experience in a multi-site or highly automated manufacturing environment.
• Specialized expertise in industrial hygiene or ergonomics.
