Key Responsibilities

• Develop implement and maintain EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with all federal state and local regulations.
• Conduct regular EHS audits inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations root cause analysis and implement preventative measures to minimize recurrence.
• Design and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees fostering a proactive safety culture.
• Manage hazardous waste air emissions wastewater discharge and other environmental programs in accordance with permits and regulations.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to integrate EHS considerations into new projects equipment and processes.
• Maintain accurate EHS records prepare required reports and communicate performance metrics to management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA EPA and other relevant federal state and local EHS regulations and standards.
• Proven experience developing implementing and managing EHS programs and management systems (e.g. ISO 14001 ISO 45001).
• Professional certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specific EHS management software platforms (EMIS).
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g. Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
