Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings specifications and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and execute prototypes conducting testing and analysis to validate designs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing production and quality teams to ensure seamless product realization.
• Analyze and resolve design-related issues encountered during production or field use.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design or a related field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor Creo).
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding sheet metal fabrication).
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Knowledge of material properties and selection for various applications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of diverse manufacturing processes (e.g. injection molding stamping machining additive manufacturing).
• Experience with advanced simulation tools (e.g. CFD non-linear FEA multi-physics analysis).
• Hands-on prototyping testing or assembly experience.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming for design automation (e.g. CAD APIs Python).
