Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine product designs and components using CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings specifications and Bills of Material (BOMs) for manufacturing.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to optimize cost quality and performance.
• Perform design calculations simulations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate product integrity.
• Collaborate with manufacturing production and quality teams to ensure design manufacturability and resolve issues.
• Manage design changes and document revisions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Support prototyping testing and validation of new and revised designs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Design or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks CATIA Creo) for design and modeling.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding stamping) and material selection.
• Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Design for Assembly (DFA) and GD&T principles.
• Proven ability to analyze design challenges troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
• Experience with prototyping testing and validation of designs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles
• Proficiency in FEA/CFD simulation software
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
• Hands-on experience with prototyping fabrication or assembly processes
