Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products components or systems from concept to production.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using CAD software ensuring manufacturability.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for optimal performance cost and production efficiency.
• Conduct design analysis simulations and calculations to validate product performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing quality and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product realization and resolve production issues.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation including Bill of Materials (BOMs) specifications and test plans.
• Lead or support prototyping testing and validation activities to verify design intent and functionality.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor Creo).
• Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g. machining injection molding sheet metal fabrication).
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and simulations (e.g. FEA) to validate designs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g. CNC machining injection molding sheet metal fabrication).
• Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software for design validation and optimization.
• Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system administration or advanced usage.
• Certification or practical experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
