The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Wayland seeking Controllers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial reporting including monthly quarterly and annual statements.
• Develop and maintain robust cost accounting systems including standard costing variance analysis and inventory valuation.
• Manage the budgeting forecasting and long-range strategic planning processes for manufacturing operations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements establishing and enforcing internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational decision-making and drive profitability improvements.
• Manage cash flow working capital and fixed asset accounting.
• Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors and banking partners.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 5 years of progressive financial leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in cost accounting inventory valuation and production variance analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP financial reporting budgeting and internal controls.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a finance team and partner with operational departments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Lean manufacturing principles and their financial impact.
• Proven experience implementing or optimizing ERP modules specific to manufacturing costing or inventory management.
• Advanced proficiency with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) for financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience with multi-site or international manufacturing operations.
