Key Responsibilities

Develop validate and optimize CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programs using CAD models and blueprints.
Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components using CMMs and other metrology equipment.
Analyze CMM measurement data interpret results and identify non-conformances or process deviations.
Generate detailed inspection reports statistical process control (SPC) data and measurement system analysis (MSA) reports.
Collaborate with engineering quality and production teams to resolve measurement challenges and improve product quality.
Troubleshoot CMM program errors machine malfunctions and ensure optimal machine performance and calibration.
Maintain and manage CMM software hardware and associated fixturing to ensure accuracy and readiness.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso MCOSMOS).
Strong understanding and practical application of GD&T principles.
Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
Experience with various measurement techniques and metrology equipment.
Proven experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or inspection role.

Bonus Qualifications

Proficiency with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Inventor CATIA) for model manipulation and inspection planning.
Experience with other metrology equipment such as vision systems laser scanners or optical comparators.
Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software for data analysis.
Experience in designing or specifying measurement fixtures and tooling.
