Key Responsibilities

Design program and implement PLC HMI and SCADA systems for manufacturing processes.
Troubleshoot and diagnose complex automation system failures to minimize production downtime.
Develop and optimize robotic and automated material handling solutions.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify and implement process improvements through automation.
Ensure all automation systems comply with safety standards regulatory requirements and company policies.
Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance personnel on automation equipment.
Manage automation projects from conception through commissioning including budget and timeline adherence.

Recommended Qualifications

Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens Rockwell Allen-Bradley) HMI/SCADA development and industrial networking protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP Profinet).
Hands-on experience with the design commissioning and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing systems including robotics and vision systems.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Engineering Mechatronics or a related technical field.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex automation issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced production environment.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices for automation system implementation.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with industrial vision systems (e.g. Cognex Keyence Sick) for quality inspection or guidance.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD Electrical) for system design and layout.
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or ERP integration with automation layers.
Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments.
