The Lead Structural Designer will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of detailed offshore structural design packages for oil and gas projects in full compliance with Saudi Aramco standards. This role involves producing and reviewing high-quality 3D models drawings and deliverables for fixed offshore platforms and coordinating closely with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure design accuracy constructability and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the development and production of 3D models and detailed structural drawings for offshore platforms including topsides and jacket structures.
- Prepare and review general arrangement drawings fabrication details support drawings and installation drawings.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of material take-offs (MTOs) in accordance with project specifications and Aramco requirements.
- Coordinate with structural engineers and other disciplines to ensure consistency and alignment of design deliverables.
- Lead 3D model reviews and provide design support during fabrication and offshore installation stages.
- Review vendor drawings and incorporate approved design changes into project documents.
- Ensure all design work meets quality standards project procedures and industry best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior structural designers and engineers within the team.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Degree in Structural Civil or Drafting discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years experience in offshore structural design within the oil and gas sector.
- Strong working knowledge of Saudi Aramco drafting and design standards.
- Proficient in design software such as E3D PDMS Tekla and AutoCAD.
- Strong leadership communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage teams in fast-paced project environments.
- Experience supporting fabrication and offshore installation is highly preferred.
