A. POST CONTEXT
The NATO Defence College (NDC) provides senior-level education on transatlantic security issues enabled by research on matters relevan to the Alliance and supported by engagement with several stakeholders.
The Office of the Executive Coordinator is steering a major digital transformation initiative which includes an end-to-end business analysis of the NDC an organisation-wide change management campaign and the large-scale procurement of technical implementation services the Information Knowledge Manager must also sustain its ongoing operational responsibilities.
Given the scale and intensity of both the transformation and routine demands the incumbent for this post is required to ensure that IKM can maintain operational excellence while successfully delivering the digital transformation project.
B. PRINCIPAL DUTIES
The incumbent will be responsible for:
Supporting business analysis project through SOP and regulation reviews
Assisting IKM in creating a knowledge base
Assisting IKM in producing standardised information management documentation and guidance
Informing internal stakeholders of new procedures and guiding them through the process
Engaging in any technological solution implementation ensuring that implementers understand business requirements and processes and ensuring any project meets these requirements
Supporting IKM in ensuring technological solution implementation adheres to NATO Information and Knowledge Management standards
Supporting any technological solution implementation through assisting solution design change management strategy and other necessary support strategies
Assisting IKM in meeting the NDCs business intelligence requirements
Supporting the creation of an NDC Business Continuity Management Plan based on business analysis as well as NATO directives
Assisting IKM with change management with internal stakeholders
Assisting EXCO with coordination of NDC business processes
Assisting EXCO and IKM with review of OPORD process
C. CANDIDATE PROFILE
- University degree (Bachelors equivalent) in Information Management Information Technology Social Sciences (such as International Relations or Political Sciences) Business Management or a related field. Alternatively a Higher Secondary Education and Vocational Training or equivalent educational level with minimum 2 years working experience in Information Management Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience in business process reviews
- Familiarity with supporting digital transformation implementation projects and technologies such as MS365 and Salesforce
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience with supporting an executive coordinator/chief of staff role.
