Job Summary
Job Title: Occupational Therapist Children & Young People
Location: Suffolk
Pay Rate: 41 per hour
Contract Type:Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist tojoin theChildren & Young People (DCYP) Services Teamin Suffolk. This county-wide role focuses on maximising quality of life and independence for children and young people with complex disabilities while supporting parents and carers in their caring roles.
You will provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments of need within the local authoritys statutory responsibility working flexibly across the county. Office attendance is required for team meetings but there is no expectation of being regularly based in the office.
What will your responsibilities be
- Conducthome-based assessmentsfor children and young people with complex disabilities
- Identify difficulties and explore solutions through advice information and intervention
- Providespecialist equipment and adaptations(minor and major) to enhance safety and independence
- Support parents and carers in their caring roles
- Liaise with professionals across health education housing and community equipment services
- Maintain accurate records in line with statutory and professional standards

Qualifications & Experience:
- HCPC Registrationand full Occupational Therapy qualification
- Experience working with disabled children ideally within a Social Care setting (desirable)
- Ability to workindependently and autonomously as well as part of a team
- Strongorganisational skillsto manage your own workload
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with families children young people and professionals
