Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating and caring for patients within a Telemetry setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment advanced monitoring skills and the ability to implement patient-centered care plans based on individualized needs. The RN collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and assist physicians with ongoing care needs.
Plan implement and document nursing care based on patient needs.
Identify patient priorities through assessment planning intervention and evaluation.
Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care using ongoing assessments.
Initiate assessments based on patient condition provider diagnosis and functional health patterns.
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions as clinically indicated.
Manage care for assigned patients ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Advocate for evidence-based practice and support improvements in care delivery models.
Deliver patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required.
Education Requirements
Required:
ASN
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
Preferred:
BSN
Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Exam (Required)
Certifications & Licensure
BLS AHA
Active NJ State RN license or Multistate Compact License
NIHSS
Telemetry Certification
CEU Stroke Education 4 Hours
Schedule Notes
7:00 AM 7:30 PM
13-week contract 36 hours/week
Every other weekend required
Holidays as needed
No on-call requirements
Float Pool: Primarily focused on ED/Holding
Must be able to independently care for Telemetry patients
If inpatient holds are minimal RN will float to other adult inpatient units
