Role specifics and benefits:
- Key responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive direct care to labor and delivery patients including continuous fetal monitoring labor support and assistance with vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Administer medications and analgesia per protocol manage postpartum care perform newborn assessments and provide lactation support. Collaborate closely with obstetricians anesthesia neonatal teams and ancillary staff to ensure patient safety comfort and informed decision-making. Maintain meticulous documentation in the EMR participate in peripartum rounds advocate for evidence-based practices and contribute to newborn education for families.
