NOW HIRING for 2025-26 PT/Seasonal positions (temporary): Skate Monitors Skate Hosts and Cashiers for the Rink at the Rails in Temple at the MLK Fairgrounds from December 12th 2025 - January 4th 2026.

This holiday season downtown Temple transforms into a winter wonderland with Rink on the Rails a real ice rink right in the heart of the city! Glide spin and laugh your way into a new holiday tradition at the MLK Festival Grounds.

Whether youre making memories with family sharing a magical date night or enjoying some frosty fun with friends this outdoor rink is the perfect place to celebrate the season. So lace up your skates grab some hot cocoa and get ready to make your holidays merry and bright right here in downtown Temple!

Looking for strong candidates interested in joining our team in this fun work environment. Applicants must have the availability to work during evenings weekends and holidays. Local applicants preferred.

Ice-America a division of Seaside Ice LLC is a creator producer and operator of outdoor temporary ice-skating rinks and an ice event and television production group. We offer rapid deployment of turn-key portable ice rinks and operations in the US and Canada. We can literally make ice overnight and create unique entertainment events for communities businesses and other customers. We are searching for energetic hardworking people to be a part of our team!

We are currently seeking fun enthusiastic men and women for:

SKATE MONITOR: Experienced Figure/Hockey Skaters 16yrs & older. Duties of the position include: Monitoring on-ice safety and ensuring all patrons are following the code of conduct assisting fallen or struggling skaters and responding accordingly to incident or injury. Applicants MUST be trained skaters have their own skates and the ability to skate up to six hours per day. Your resume MUST include your ice skating background to be considered. This is an ON ICE position. Must have strong customer service skills. Compensation for this role starts at $15.00/hour.

SKATE HOSTS: 16yrs & older. Duties of the position include: monitoring on-ice safety and ensuring all patrons are following the code of conduct passing out and re-shelving skates in the rental skate area and helping patrons have a positive experience by smiling and maintaining a positive attitude assisting in the office as required working the greeter/waiver stand as required assisting patrons in the skate lace area assisting with ice maintenance as required and other duties as assigned by supervision. Compensation for this role starts at $15.00/hour

CASHIERS: 18 yrs & older. Duties of the position include: Greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner. Confirming their completion or waivers and checking guests in. Completing cash or credit card transactions and maintaining an accurate cash til. Working the greeter/waiver stand and assisting the office as required and other duties as assigned by supervision. Compensation for this role starts at $15.00/hour

Duties for all positions include but are not limited to:

Interacting with customers daily and being able to offer solutions to every customers needs.
Enforcing the code of conduct while looking to engage customers with a memorable experience.
High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are required.
Assisting customers with their online waiver on site and checking them in on an iPad.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the skate rink and surrounding area.
Handing out rental skates showing customers how to wear them properly and storing them properly.
Following clear instructions given by on duty supervision.
