Pediatric Critical Care - Clinical Assistant/Associate/Professor

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible physician in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine to join the faculty at UF Health Shands Hospital for Children. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a vibrant and expanding academic center with a 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) that supports a fellowship program and offers extensive opportunities for teaching quality improvement and research activities.

UF Health Shands Hospital for Children provides comprehensive care with full representation of all pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties including trauma burn and transplant services. The faculty member in this role will provide high-level clinical care in the PICU and actively participate in the education of medical students residents and fellows as well as engage in scholarly or quality-focused projects.

Rank and Tenure Status
This position is a non-tenure track faculty role available at the level of Clinical Assistant Professor Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor commensurate with experience and academic accomplishments.

UF Health Shands Childrens Hospital represents the only quaternary-care academic pediatric center in North Florida. The childrens hospital has 208 beds including fully equipped pediatric and neonatal intensive care units. The Department of Pediatrics is committed to fostering innovation and advancing discovery in the biomedical and psychosocial aspects of child health and human development educating and training pediatric scientists and directly translating basic scientific discoveries into new patient-oriented the most recent fiscal year the department was home to over $30.5M in sponsored research.

UF Health faculty work in multidisciplinary teams with researchers in the five other Health Science Center colleges as well as those from across the University.
