Summary: The Patient Care Tech assists physician and practitioners with patient care administrative environmental and organizational tasks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Greets patients and assists with patient flow. Including assisting with turning over exam rooms escorting patients and managing the collection of specimens.
- Putting away daily stock deliveries.
- Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists the clinical team to keep clinical schedule on time.
- Maintains good working relations with staff through appropriate communication.
- Be professional in appearance attitude and communication.
- Scanning and indexing documentation including working in Adobe Docusign software.
- With specialized training and written approval may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and/ or Experience: - High School or Equivalent
- Medical Office experience preferred.
General Skill Requirements: - Excellent oral and written communication
- Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with a Practice Management system is preferred.
- Attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position to provide excellent customer service to both our internal and external stakeholders.
Physical/ Mental Demands: The Patient Care Tech position requires that ability to hear and speak clearly. The position frequently is required use of wrists hands and fingers to touch type and grasp objects and to use legs and feet to walk bend twist reach and stretch throughout the day. The position requires regular lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. The position also requires the ability to answer telephone calls transfer calls and work on the computer. Environmental/ Working Conditions: Work will be completed in a smoke-free climate controlled medical office with the usual hazards of airborne germs chemical various odors blood and other hazardous waste products. Office spaces may include the use of parking lot within one half mile o the working location and may include the need to utilize stairs to access the working location. This position may require travel to other office locations.
