Cybersecurity Professional

The Cybersecurity Professional will play a key role in supporting BAMs cybersecurity operations by assisting with incident response activities and maintaining accurate security documentation. This position is designed for individuals beginning their cybersecurity career who are eager to learn contribute and grow within a collaborative environment.Requirements: Essential Job Functions
- Assist in documenting and maintaining organizational security materials including incident reports risk assessments remediation plans and standard operating procedures.
- Support incident response efforts by gathering evidence recording findings and tracking actions taken during containment eradication and recovery.
- Monitor security tools and logs for alerts escalating issues to senior team members as needed.
- Participate in post-incident reviews by compiling documentation and lessons learned.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate up-to-date and aligned with compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers developers and operations staff to support ongoing security initiatives.
- Manage assigned tasks and projects with attention to detail and timeliness.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally
Qualifications:
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Basic troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation.
- Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support senior staff
Preferred Skills (not mandatory but a plus):- Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Exposure to incident response processes or participation in a response team.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171 or CMMC.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Cybersecurity or related field.
- CompTIA Security or other entry-level cybersecurity certification
