JOB SUMMARY
The Surgical Technician Extern is a student who participates in perioperative care under the supervision of Surgical Technician. This role provides hands-on learning opportunities in a clinical environment supporting the surgical team before during and after procedures while gaining proficiency in sterile techniques instrumentation and patient safety protocols.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Type: PRN (as needed without benefits)
Education
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an accreditedSurgicalTechnology program - required
Must have completed at least one year of accredited surgical technology program - required
License/Certifications
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or equivalent - required prior to clinical participation.
Experience
Understanding of aseptic and sterile technique and infection prevention measures.
Knowledge of basicsurgicalinstruments and equipment.
